  • This is for Candice.

    So, Spring Break was amazing.  I didn't really do anything special, just went home and spent time with family and my Todd.  (Last week did leave me very excited for things that are soon to come, however.) It was great just getting to relax and be in Dexter.  It's so strange, I never realized how much I really like being in Dexter until I moved away.  Kirksville is such a depressing place.  Truman's great though.

    My new iPod came in today!  I was really surprised, because it came a few days earlier than they said it would.  My awesome pink cover came in today too, so I've been spending my first day back to school playing with my iPod. 

    I'm about to go to Rape Aggression Defense for Women, my 2nd block class that starts today.  It's cold and windy, and the class is all the way over in Pershing. Grrr.  Haha, when I told my dad I was taking it, he said "What do you need that class for?  Just carry a pistol!"  ....or a tasor.  :)

  • So I had a really great weekend.  My sister was out of school for president's day, and out on tuesday for some reason, so dad and Ashley came up to Truman to visit me.  It was pretty great, because I really miss them, and we went and ate at Il Spazio's, which is always nice.

    This semester has been going pretty well.  It's a lot easier than last semester, so far.  I'm in piano IV, which is basically a blow-off class, and an online course which is also very easy.  My saxophone lessons are a lot harder though, but that's to be expected. 

    Speaking of saxophone, I met the most famous saxophonist in the world! (Not Kenny G...jeez guys. :P)  Eugene Rousseau!  I also met Fred Hemke, Libby Larsen, and Himie Voxman.  It rocked. 

    I've also been going to the rec center quite a bit.  I figure it wouldn't hurt to lose 5 pounds or so, or at least get in better shape.  I'm so weak its ridiculous.  I could barely bench the bar!  Pretty sad.  I really enjoy going there though.  

    Oh my, last night Dr. Smith (my saxophone prof.)  gave his faculty recital with Dr. Jones (the trumpet prof.)  And at the end they performed a  "Carmen" Medley with smith in a dress as carmen, and jones as the guy trying to get with carmen.  Freaking hilarious.  Seeing smith-dawg in a dress was....interesting.  That was the highlight of my week, I believe. 

    Thats about all I've got...I'll try to post more often.  maybe.

  • Heeeeyyyy!!!   Yes I know its the apocalypse, I'm finally posting....but don't get used to it!  :P

    I've had a super-crazy-busy year so far....it's tough.  You know its bad when you're on your way to do a sight-singing test and you think, "Hey....if the elevator dropped right now I wouldn't have to take that test..." 

    I really don't have a life...the only time I do is when I go home, then I come back and I'm behind on everything.  I have 3 pretty big tests tomorrow...(last week was midterms...grrr) 

    But I had a good time this weekend...I got to see my beautiful little sister's band queen competition!!!  Yay for Ashley!  And I got to eat at el taps with my family, and my friends which is always a good time. 

    AND i finally got to see the family guy movie, which ROCKED.  everyone should see it.  I really enjoyed hanging out with all my friends but madam adam never showed up to the football game!  silly mr. adam.... 

    Anyway...I need to go study, and practice, and go to class.

  • Wow am I the only person left in Dexter??I think everyone's done gone to college but me...but i'm leaving tomorrow!  I'm really pretty excited, because I miss Todd so dang much.  I seriously love that boy. 

    I had a pretty good last week here in town, Adam came over and we played super smash brothers for a while, and yesterday I got a manicure, pedicure, and massage.  It was so great.  Then I went and ate chinese with dad, adam, and my sister. Oh yeah, me and dad went "dumpster diving" for boxes to pack things in.  Fun Fun....  :P  Today I got a haircut, and hung out at Headstart for a while.  I also bought a really cute makeup/overnight bag at MJ's.  That place rocks. 

    Well...I should probably go and finish packing, we're leaving somewhat early tomorrow morning.  We're gonna stay the night with some relatives in Hannibal, then drive to K-ville early on Saturday.  I can't wait to see Todd and Pamcakes!!!!!!!!!  (or the dexter crew, of course! :P)

  • I'm a music education major at Truman State University. I play the alto saxophone, and several other instruments such as clarinet and some flute. I have the most wonderful boyfriend in the entire world, Todd Diebold, and i love him sooooo much! My interests are music (but not rap), star wars, lord of the rings, harry potter, and church. I've really gotten back into church since I went off to college. I went to classes every monday night for it, and in April I was baptized and confirmed Catholic, so now i go to church A LOT more than i used to :P I'm also a member of the professional women's music fraternity Sigma Alpha Iota and I love all of my sisters!
